Gmail really doesn't have an inbox per se. They use labels using the above approach simply removes the label and replaces it with inbox. The message doesn't actually move. Other than using the web interface the all mail &quot;folder&quot; has all of the mail.

i AM IN gmail in teh updates category and i am trying to check all the emails in that category and move them to my inbox, but i don't see the &quot;inbox' option. basically i can't move them.<br />

In this a limitation of the Gmail interface. i really need to move them back where they were in the inbox. They have been moved by mistake into the updates category.<br />

Does anyone have a trick how to fix this please
