Mapping beyond the A to Z drive letters.
Is there a way to map drives or network locations as maps beyond the A-Z drive letters?

Yes, I realize that however certain backup programs will only look at network drives that have letters as the source.
Yes, you should be able to use the MKLINK /D approach and specify that link folder to the backup tool.

My EE article shows a way to do it for local drives (you can use a UNC path for network drives):

C:\Link1 ==> \\server1\share1
C:\Link2 ==> \\server1\share2
I believe that works okay.
