Macrium Reflect Backup won't restore all the folders and files
I created a backup of files and folders with Macrium Reflect on an external USB Drive from an unbootable Samsung SSD installed in an old hp-8-1210 running Windows 10 home. It gave no errors and said "Backup completed successfully." I verified the backup. I then restored the hp8-1210 with an image created from windows and now it is restored to January 12, 2020.
I tried restoring the backup created with Macrium (465GB) to another external USB. It only restored 149 GB and many folders are missing entirely.
When I mount the Macrium Reflect backup file in Windows Explorer, it only sees the files it restored. If I try to restore a smaller (5 GB) folder, it goes through the motions with a progress bar going for 2.5 minutes and says "Restore completed successfully" but no files are actually restored.
Macrium's support was not able to help and said they have to send the problem to their UK HQ. I clearly have 465 GB of data and only a third of it is being restored or accessible.
Is there any trick to this? Is there any other software that can look inside the backup and see those files?
