Apple Homepod Not Playing Music

I don't know how many Apple Product experts are on here but here goes:

I have a Homepod I've had for at least 2 years that's worked flawlessly until yesterday. I only use it to play Apple Music. Yesterday I changed my Apple Id which, of course effects every Apple product one owns. I have systematically gone through every Apple product I own i.e. iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, etc. insuring each is working as they should.

The Homepod is a different animal altogether. It's designed such that you remove it from the box, plug it in and it installs itself. No book, no app, etc. All well and good for the first install. In this case I'm trying to reinstall. To make matters worse, the original install put the homepod in an app called Home (for home automation). In my efforts to reinstall, I deleted the homepod from the Home app thinking a reinstall would put it back. I was wrong. So, currently:
It appears to work for all functions. If I say Hey Siri, play Frank Sinatra, Siri responds with I can't locate Frank Sinatra in Apple Music. This is the case regardless of the artist you're requesting. I'm guessing it's all due to the homepod not being in the Home app, but who knows!

Does your new Apple ID has a subscription to Apple Music?

You are correct. Apple Homepod is a smart device and you need to install your Home app using the new Apple ID and add the Homepod inside the Home app afterward.

"you need to install your Home app using the new Apple ID". I wish it were that easy! I've googled everywhere on this and nothing I try will get the Homepod back in the Home app. Most articles refer to a number or 8-digit code to install which I can't find anywhere. It's not on the Homepod nor the box it came in.
I've always been impressed with Apple products but it seems they really dropped the ball on this one!

Reset your Apple Homepod first.

Then, in your iPhone, sign on the Apple Apps Store with your new Apple ID and install the Home app and setup your Apple Homepod inside the Homepod just like the first time you do the setup.

The problem with your suggestion Jackie is it's predicated on the assumption you have a Homepod in the Home app to initiate a reset. I don't. The immediate challenge then becomes how to get it back in the Home app? That's the real question!

Amazing! I must have tried that at least 3 times before and it never worked! This time it did for some strange reason. I'm thinking maybe I never waited the 5 seconds before. Who knows, It's working now. That's all that matters.

Thank you so much for the help.
