Best practice for administering Windows OS and Dell machine updates in an corporate environment

What is currently the best and most popular method of administering Windows Updates or WSUS in an corporate environment?

We are also a Dell shop...is there a way to push Dell updates centrally as apposed to doing manually at each machine using "Dell Command Update"?

You can use Dell Command Update to handle Dell specific hardware updates.
For Windows software updates, the very least you would need is WSUS to download, approve, and deploy patches. It's even better if you have a solution such as ConfigMgr to manage software updates as you can have much more granular control when you need it.

Thank you for the quick response folks.

So from what you are saying, an in-house WSUS server is still the best and conventional way of maintaining updates?

Is there a similar solution for updating the drivers for the endpoint workstations?
