You can right click on the certificate in Windows and view it, which will show tabs. The second tab "Details" contains the information you enter in the request usually. But as Sam said, "mileage may vary" as to what the certificate provider gives.
As Sam mentioned, what's required varies between certs.
For simple certs, pretty much anything goes, which is why https://LetsEncrypt.org certs generate a CSR on the fly... voiding out all the fields...
For Green Bar certs, all info must be correct + verifiable.

As mentioned above, you can see these details in the certificate.
Subject field, contains: Common Name (CN), Organization (O), Department (OU), City (L), State (S), Country (C)
Subject Alternative Name field contains: Subject Alternative Names
Public key field contains: Key Size

The CSR is what the Certificate Authority SIGNS so the information that you incuded in your CSR will be part of the Certificate.
The discussion of types of certificates often deal with the depth of the verification the Certificate Authority goes through.
You can get a certificate from the CA that verifies both that you are authorized to obtain such a certificate, the information that is part of the certificate is verified and then they include a URL/verification clickable option........ Linked identifier.
Consider it this way, the CSR is a paper with information that you would write your name on,
The paper is just that, the CA is the one that has the cover and laminates making the paper an official ID...
