Nslookup for IPv4

Nslookup for IPv4

I am using Nslookup command as shown below, but it is displaying the IPv6 of the DNS server that is resolving the name.

so how to tell NSLookup to  display IPv4 for the Address ?

with the Ping you can specif IPV4 by adding -4
with NSLookup I could not find a way to do it

I got it, I just disabled IPV6

Explicitly set an IPv4 address for the DNS server to query. Remove IPv6 address from /etc/resolv.conf or where-ever your system gets it.

now I can see IPV4

>nslookup
server 1.1.1.1

and then search for a name.... will do as well.
If you let is ask the system resolver you rwill first get IPv6 then IPv4.

That address isn't azfarm.onmicrosoft.com.  That's the address of the server providing DNS.   The line belew azfarm.onmicrosoft.com is blank, meaning it's not resolving to an address for you.
