The cells contains digits that represent numbers and they need to be converted to numbers.
Excel worksheet
Column A = Code
Column B = Population with digits and spaces but not numbers
Column C = with digits and spaces but not numbers
Objective
To convert digits in Columns B and C into numbers as per example in Columns F and G. And to remove the asterisk from some cells in column B.
I have tried find and replace the spaces with nothing, and I've also tried copying the column into Notepad and copying it back but neither attempt worked.
