My (new) garmin etrex touch 35 is set up so that the retrolight stops after 30 seconds to save the battery (Garmin says ...). Generally, after around 2 hours without problem (I regularly light it up to see the data), it switch off without any my intervention !<br />
And the battery is still at 60 % full...
