I am trying to disable TELNET on my Catalyst 3850 switch, and it's not working. In spite of following the suggestion I found online and issuing the command below, I am still able to login with TELNET - worse yet, with the default "cisco \ cisco" user/pass credentials. What am I missing here - why doesn't Telnet shut off?
Thanks for your help.
" Re: disable telnet, enable SSH
You can. Type
"transport input ssh"
on line vty 0 4 and it will only accept ssh connections. "
