Mcafee epo duplicate system names in system tree

We have epo 5.10 server in our environment. In system tree, I can see few systems are having duplicate system entries. Please let us know how can we fix this.

Thanks

McAfee provides a few KBs about this behavior.

The conditions that lead to the duplicate entry:
  • The McAfee Agent installer forces the creation of a new agent GUID when the switch /FORCEINSTALL is used.
  • The McAfee Agent later communicates back to the McAfee ePO server, it sees the new GUID.
  • When the new GUID does not match the known MAC address for that system, a new entry is added on the System Tree. At this point, a duplication of the system occurs.

I suggest deleting the system with the oldest Last Communication time. Also, you might want to delete both entries from ePO, then run AD sync.

Or maybe a column selection is causing it?
If all the duplicate entries are selected when you click on one of the entries, then that is not a true duplicate system, but is caused by the columns displayed that results in duplicate properties for a system.  Take note of the columns that user has displayed in the system tree, then reset the columns back to default.  The issue should go away.  Then add them back and you should then identify the particular column that is causing the issue.
So I did exactly what you said and that worked.  It turns out that our column for "Rogue State" was causing this issue for us.  I had another collegue test it out and sure enough his results were the same as mine.
