Backups

We're using Veeam as our on-prem backup. We're using iLand to make a backup copy to the cloud. We're backing up 6 VMs. Wondering whether there's a reasonable solution that works with Veeam that will allow us to skip the iLand backup copy and get DR.

Veeam has cloud connectors built in, but what are you trying to do?

Backup to a Synology NAS, and use the inbuilt NAS functions to Sync to the Cloud...

We are currently making cloud backup copies of our internal Veeam backup. I've been hearing about DR that would eliminate the need to make a backup copy because I could sync my VMs to the cloud.

So that would be a bit different, but not that you cannot do it.  Verto comes to mind.  Which hypervisor are you using?
