Outlook 365 Local Archive
Hey all-
I'm hoping someone here could shed some light. I have several users that are using Office 365 and Microsoft Hosted Email.
The archive size is limited to 50GB and unfortunately, I have a lot of squirrels that I manage. Does anyone know if I can archive mailboxes to the local machines as opposed to Microsoft's cloud? I only have a few users that I need to address this with, so I would rather not have to upgrade all 55 users to the package that allows for 150GB archives, as opposed to 50GB.
Thanks!

You can certainly export some of the mailbox content to PST files, but that will open a nastier can of worms. PSTs are prone to corruption, insecure and generally speaking outlived, plus you loose on the whole concept of having a single repository. My advice would be to go for the Exchange Online plan 2 license, the $3 extra will hardly make a difference.

Thanks for the advice. Right now the users are running Microsoft 365 Business Standard. To get to Exchange Online 2 I would have to go to Office 365 E3, is that what you're seeing as well.
I don't have a problem bringing that to the client as it will make my life easier as well. I just want to get my ducks in a row first.
Thanks again!
