Sent emails Gmail

So, I've come across an issue with Gmail not saving sent items in Windows 10 Mail app. but they do save in Gmail online

- I've removed the Gmail account from Windows 10 mail app and redid the account and still nothing
- there are no filters or forwarding's either
- the sent item does work in outlook

However, the client likes the Windows 10 Mail app.

Has anyone else come up with this problem before??

1) Open Settings > Click Apps > Click Apps & features > Locate Mail App, then click Advanced options > Click Reset
2) run windows update... to uptodate.
3) you can try this solution

4) you can use any other third party mail client like thunderbird

Thunderbird works find. however the client likes the look and use of Windows Mail app and would like to continue to use it. Thunderbird doesn't have nice GUI.
