How can I log in to my NetGear AC1900 R7000 router?
My environment: I am runniing Windows Server 2016 and Exchange Server 2016.
I have a NetGear R7000 AC1900 Smart WiFi Router (Nighthawk). I want to review its current settings.
Per the manual's instructions, I am trying to log in to it, using a web browser to navigate to: www.routerlogin.net
The next thing I see is: This page can't be displayed
When I click Fix connection problems, I see: The DNS server may be experiencing problems.
Problems found: Your DNS server might be unavailable
Windows can’t find the host name "www.routerlogin.net" using DNS.
Since I know the IP address of the router, I type in http://192.168.1.1 into the browser
The next thing I see is: This page can't be displayed
When I click Fix connection problems, I see:
Issue found: The remote device or resource won't accept the connection
Problems found:
The device or resource (192.168.1.1) is not set up to accept connections on port "The World Wide Web service (HTTP)".
Regardless of which browser I use, I get the same results.
The last time I logged in successfully to the router (using the IP Address and admin credentials), was in February 2020. No configuration changes have been made since that time.
When I run ipconfig from a CMD prompt on my computer, I see:
IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.50
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
How can I resolve this problem?

I did a screen capture of all the settings back in February 2020.
Of the 4 choices: 1-Router mode, 2-AP mode, 3-Bridge mode, 4-Repeating mode.
1-Router mode.is enabled.

On the LAN Setup settings screen:
Use Router as DHCP Server is NOT checked

When you say "Try to unplug every device just to make sure you don't have a rogue dhcp in your net, or a bad configured DNS ", do you mean power off every device in the office, including the Server?

Okay, I will wait until Saturday morning. We have several users "working from home during the weekday",
if you have printed the proper configuration, then you could reset it to factory settings, and reconfigure it, but it is not good idea if you do not have another router to use meanwhile if anything goes wrong.

Oh, I see what you mean.
The router has 4 lan ports.
One port is being used to connect (RJ45) the router to the 48 port switch.
In following your instructions, all I have to do is disconnect that RJ45 cable (between the switch and the router).
Connect a new RJ45 cable to one of the available lan ports on the router, and connect the other end to my laptop.
Then try logging in to the router using its IP address.
Is this correct?

correct, that way you will discard any possible device messing things up in your dns or ip assignments, if you still cant go into management screen then your fastest way to solve will be just reconfigure it from scratch using your screenshots

Okay, I will wait until Saturday to check it out.
I have the same router here but we only use it to provide wireless lan access to foreign employees that come visit us
Have you tried using https instead of http to get to the router?

Arana: I followed your instruction: If you have it currently at service you will have to wait "off hours" to troubleshoot, I meant "unplug cables" from it . . .
What I did first:
Unplug the "power cable" from the router . . .
waited about 15 seconds . . .
plugged the "power cable" into the router . . .
I am now able to access the router's log in page using the router's IP address..
Note: If the above had not worked, my second option would have been:
Disconnect the RJ45 cable between the router and the switch
Attach RJ45 cable between router and laptop and proceed from there.
Thank you for your help.

Good , as with most devices one need to troubleshoot, when possible the easiest way is to make it as simple as possible by removing all the possible causes for failure (not always possible if devices are in use)
connect a single PC to your router and use the ip address not the routerlogin url,
I dont remember if you can configure this as a bridge but if you did then you will have to reset it and reconfigure it because it would have lost its ip
