How to trouble shoot Outlook Unresponsive problems

We use Office 365 but have Outlook 2016 connected to it.  We just started using it and 3 times today Outlook said is was unresponsive.    What can cause this?  e.g. where should I start looking?

Disconnect all PST files. Will it happen again? It yes, recreate the Outlook profile. If you won't see any progress, run Online Repair. The last step would be reinstalling MS Office.
(I assume you have enough RAM and CPU usage is low.)

I exported a PST last week.  How do I disconnect it?
Open Outlook -> File -> Info -> Account Settings -> Account Settings -> Data Files tab -> select the PST file you want to remove and click Remove.
Thanks.   I am not at the location so I will update this tomorrow.

Does it happen when you click on the specific email or folder?

Outlook hangs when clicking in Conversation History folder or when clicking an email with a custom message class, such as a voice mail email

not sure.  It is not my Outlook.   I can ask.
I did both your suggestions.   It is better now.  FYI they did not know if it happened on a specific email

Thanks
What was the solution? Thank you.
I marked FOX's answer as my solution?
I understand I am just wondering which of his suggestions was the solution?
As far as I can tell the Repair was.
Therefore, you should mark all posts suggesting Online Repair. Thank you.
your post and Fox's are both already marked as helpful or as the solution
