RODE Wireless works, but I can not save sound on Mac or iPhone
I plug the microphone into my iPhone 11 with a short white converter, but do not know what app to use to record the sound. I tried to create a video, but no sound came. I think I need to switch the input device but was not sure how to do this. Please explain how to do this and what a good recording device would be? Video is not an option since MP3's are small and MP4's are huge.
Second, when I plug the microphone into my Mac, I see the Mac > Preferences > Sound lists out 4-input devices:
Internal Microphone
Soundflower (2ch)
Soundflower (64ch)
Description (Network Device)
Should I expect a fifth option?
How do I get this device to be associated with microphone inputs?
When I open Audacity, it does not matter which of these options I try, the microphone does not connect.
I recall an earlier version of Audacity had a problem, so I got latest, 2.4.2 for the Mac.
Can anyone guide me to getting it work work with either iPhone or Mac?
Thanks

Was your Macbook recently updated?

Ok. I don't believe it's an OS issue. Can you upload the setup you have or a picture of the converter if possible? Also, does Audacity show up on your MacBook under System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Microphone?

Hi. I think the output from the Rode Receiver can not go direct into the MacBook or the iPhone.
I believe this cable is needed which will enable the input port on the Mac to differentiate between input (mic) and output (speakers).
I hope this solves the problem...
