EDR Solution
Greetings Everyone,
We are looking to deploy EDR Solutions.
We currently have Sophos Firewall at the internet edge and Trend Micro Apex One. We are having thoughts on two options
1- Deploy Sophos intercept-X which can integrate with Firewalls.
2- Deploy Trend Micro EDR which can be easily enabled on existing Apex One deployment,
But I am curious to know which strategy would be the best for better, endpoint visibility and strong security and why?
Any suggestions and thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't trust Gartner, they have paid reviews.

Basically I doesn't want to know which product is better over the other but I am concerned with the approach itself. As I have distinguished products.

The best practice is to deploy both EDR and EPP.
EPP covered basic features such as anti-malware scanning, while EDR covered advanced capabilities like detecting and investigating security incidents, and the ability to remediate endpoints to pre-infection state.
