Excel 2010, 2013 - Pivot Table - How to add data to a Pivot Table

How to add data to a worksheet with pivot table data.
The pivot table is on sheet1 but the source data is on sheet2.

Do I merely append the new rows and columns to the bottom of the existing region?
Do I insert it in the middle?

Is the source data in an actual table?

If it is then you should be able to add/delete/change the data in the table and then right click the pivot table and select Refresh.
You don't add data to the pivot table, but to the data source (since the pivot table is build from the data source).

If the source data is not a table, just click within the data list, and use Ctrl-T to make it a table.  Then what Norie said will work, just adding data at the bottom of the table and refreshing the pivot table.
