How do I convert a graphic to a vector format?
I have a logo that I've made for a TShirt. It's made in Photoshop using a 300 dpi format and measures about 6000 px across.
I've got a friend who's offered to finance the creation of a banner that measures about 3 feet tall and four feet wide. Being only somewhat familiar with terminology and software, I know that I'm going to need a "vector" graphic in order for my logo to not look pixel-ated.
I'm thinking the extension I'm looking for is ".ai."
I know very little about Illustrator. Can I import my graphic as is and convert it to a vector format? Or, do I need to start all over again and build it in Illustrator?
I also have a photo. How does one convert that to a vector format?
