My organization uses Bitlocker on all our devices, and for good reason - just in the past week we've had two laptops stolen from employees.
Is there a way to edit that initial Bitlocker screen and put something like "Notice: This computer is the property of _____" or something along those lines? We'd like to make it more difficult for thieves to take it straight to a pawn shop.
I saw the stuff on the recovery screen, but I was wanting to edit that first screen. True, they can format the drive. We're kind of thinking the type of person that'd swipe a laptop out of your car while loading up kids in the morning probably wouldn't know how to format it, though.

Short of modifying the system files themselves, there's nothing you can do. Found a hint about the text coming from bootmgr.exe.mui and also a hint that it might be doable with the help of the tool resource hacker, but no reliable info or how to

I don't want to have to use some hacking tool. I was hoping for an easy GPO we could push out. Thanks for your input. I'll leave the question open a little longer just to see if anyone has found any creative ways to deal with this.
