Software to split PDF and save as individual files.

Hi

I have 300 page PDF and this contains the records of the individual students.
I would like to save every 1 or 2  pages into a single PDF file and Is it possible to split the PDF individual files.
Let me know if there is free software or a paid version.

Thanks and any help would be great.

I think PDFsam Basic is a great free tool where you can split the document up after every page or by even pages. You can also customize the number of pages the document will be split up by. It will create individual PDF files. They also have a full visual version discount for education, teachers, and non-profit use, but you’d have to contact them more on qualification/details for that. You can visually and manually divide the PDF up into sections, drag/drop etc.

I use the free utility called pdftk for things like this when I need to do them more than once, or with certain options.  I believe what you want is the "burst" option...

Following up on Bill's comment, PDFtk is a good (free) choice. Here's one of my EE posts from five years ago (still valid today) showing some details on how to use it (with the burst option):

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28714012/How-to-split-a-PDF-into-several-files-programatically-using-visual-basic-2013.html?anchorAnswerId=40978135#a40978135

Jazz's suggestion of PDFsam is also a good one. However, in both cases...indeed, for any software product...the issue is...how do you perform the burst/split when some of the student records can be one page while others can be two? That's the key issue for an automated (programmatic) solution, imo. Regards, Joe
