"Note that Percona XtraDB Cluster is just MariaDB Galera Cluster that they have patched/altered to include additional features. "

so XtraDB cluster is just mariaDB...what mariaDB is missing from XtraDB Cluster  ,..... ?
Tomas Helgi Johannsson ,

percona Xtracluster really runs as MariaDB as according to the configure file, and it seems MariaDB is not that very good ! as it also has the whole operation held when doing a lot of delete and backup DB!

InnoDB problem!  and the powerpoint say sth very powerful but some is not true ! no REAL multi write operation actually.

but one thing, it seems make MariaDB galera cluster and percona Xtacluster the SAME to Compare with MySQL group replication ! we use percona and it see it is MariaDB..

what is the different between percona and mariaDB then.... .. ?

as we have this problem:

and I am not sure an upgrade to latest Percona xtracluster is a good idea !  we are using percona xtracluster based on MySQL 5.7, any best/safe way to upgrade to percona xtracluster based on MySQL 8.0 ?
