Make Extended display same quality to notebook display in Windows 10
Hi Experts!
I want the Windows Desktop shown in my extended monitor be the same or close to similar to the display in my notebook. The display in the notebook is fine, crisp and clear. Yet the display in the extended display is much less quality; characters, icons and windows are choppy (see image below – a phot of each screen).
Notice that the Panasonic is much more choppy, less quality.
Notice below that the Display Settings (setting in Settings >> System >> Display) are gthe same for bother notebook and extended monitor.
I have been trying to find a solution for this.
Specs info of both:
USB-HDMI Connector info:
To connect the extended monitor to the notebook I am using a QGeem USB-C 4port multifunctional convertor.
So, Experts, help, please – how can make my extender monitor display closer to the sane quality of the notebook display?

So how with the above said, how do u explain the 4k super crisp videos played in the extended monitor?

Found the resolution page of the extended montitor: https://www.panasonic.com/africa/support/product-archive/tv/th-l32b6.specs.html ... u r right.
The link that I provided has the resolution specs in it on page 13.
The monitor doesn't appear to support 4k, so I don't know what it did to translate it.
In any case, having the resolution set incorrectly will give a very poor picture. The pixels on the image being sent from the computer aren't lining up with the pixels on the screen.

Yes, I found it via Google. :)

Hi CompProbSolv, In didn't see you entry when I answer Joe
Hi Jana,
So how with the above said, how do u explain the 4k super crisp videos played in the extended monitor?Video looks good even at 1366×768, which is a little better than HD's 1280x720, but not even Full HD's 1920x1080. You're certainly not seeing 4K on that 1 megapixel monitor...4K (UHD) is usually 3840x2160 pixels, which is 8 megapixels...not happening on that Panasonic monitor! Regards, Joe

I believe u Joe. But it those vid does look super high quality. When I go to YouTube and click a 2160x60 video or 4k, it display a pretty kool resolution.
A friend told me that what makes the vid also great is the FPS, and maybe these vids I saw were over the FPS usually are.
Ok guys understood about the limitations of the Panasonic.
By any chance u guys have any observation as to what can i do to improve my Windows Desktop in Extended display? anything?

Wait, question, if the Panasonic is 1366×768, why in display settings u can choose "Display resolution 1920 x 1080"?
When in Windows display setting in extended display should only permit 1366×768, right?

Searching for a possible solution, found 'Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)' (https://www.monitortests.com/forum/thread-custom-resolution-utility-cru). Seems it may help something improving my extended display.
Can I have your input please?

Are you talking about the laptop screen or the Panasonic? If it is the Panasonic, probably the biggest improvement will be by setting the resolution correctly in Windows.
"When in Windows display setting in extended display should only permit 1366×768, right? "
That's very dependent on what monitor Windows detects and whether or not it has the right info about it.
When setting the resolution for the Panasonic in Windows, doe it give you the option of 1366x768?

If in the extended monitor that display choppy window, can present high-def videos, maybe there is a workaround for the monitor to also display a high-def display.
Hope I gave sufficient info!
