CPU requirement assessment

Hello Experts,

I have a cisco ucs environment with single Cisco Chassis with 8 server blades . I have a requirement to install the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS-based operating System on a 64-bit architecture with a minimum of 4 physical cores with approximately 2 GHz per core.

My server details are below and I want to know if the OS can be installed in the UCS environment. 


Each server blade is of the model Cisco UCS b200 m4 ,

Consideration: CPU focus is only required for CPU bound tasks, like Bitcoin Miners or Blockchain Verifiers.

Otherwise the only limiting factor is I/O.

Better to focus on I/O requirements, which means tuning software (like SQL instances) to have adequate buffers, so they run at memory speed, rather than disk speed.

Linux is very lightweight regards CPU usage.

Thank you for confirming my CPU on the server will support X64bit Platform. I was confused recently because I heard that these blades in Cisco UCS are based on x86 bit platform but the CPU supports x64bit OS. That was a bit confusing.
