How can I make Google display real result in a Google search

I have noticed that when I search google there are a lot of results that when I open it, the word I can't find it.  For example below (search google for calories cardinal cake)
User generated image
I know I can use quotes, but it will not search in the sequence of words.

So this is what I am trying to do:
If I google calories cardinal cake I want all the pages that would have these 3 words in them.
If I google "calories cardinal cake" I want pages that have the same phrase with the exact wording
(and there are times that pages are display but non of the words are present)

Please help

But when u go into the result page (https://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calories/cardinal-cake-838938294), there is no exact phrase "calories cardinal cake".
Putting each word in it's own quotes will tell google the results must contain all the quoted words, but not together.

But that's what I want, find an exact phrase: "calories cardinal cake"
If you don't get any hits for the exact phrase, then google takes the quotes off.

FWIW: I only get one hit on "calories cardinal cake" and it looks like it may be a combination of words and punctuation.
There may also be hidden or form text to generate hits on search engines, but they won't show up if you do a visual search.
"calories" AND "cardinal" AND "cake"

Hi Paul... I tried the AND with  "what" "does" "sukrol" "contains", I type:

"what"  AND "does"  AND "sukrol"  AND "contains"

if I click on Sukrol Tablets. Dietary Supplement with Vitamins, Thiamin ...
and search for "what" or "does" and is not found in that link

Real strange.

Going back to my question, the image I posted:

Has "Missing: cake Must include: cake".  If "cake" is missing why display the link?

Real strange or better yet,, I don't understand Google maybe  :)

What happens when you change your word sequence slightly to: cardinal cake calories

Also when you go in the menu where you see Images, News, etc at the end do you see at the end More > Search Tools > Verbatim

Test the difference.

I haven’t tried any extensions but when you go to the Chrome web store there are advanced search extensions to add to your browser and I haven’t tested these out yet like Fast Advanced Search but it would be interesting to see if the same issue emerges

Same.

...at the end do you see at the end More > Search Tools > Verbatim
don't see this, where is it?

What about my question on "Missing: cake Must include: cake"?  If "cake" is missing why display the link?
I should take a step back and ask if this is a question of getting Google to give you the results you expect (which it kind of sounds like it isn't), or how to get better results from a search engine? If it's the second, I would also ask if you have tried Bing to see if you get more predictable results?

Hi Brian, yes, the question is getting Google to give results as expect (to display pages that have contents as per search and to not display pages that not have the searched request).

Do you know why "Missing: cake Must include: cake"?  If "cake" is missing why display the link?

Unfortunately, Google is all about trying to get you as many results as possible. It's hard to stop it from doing the thinking for you.
So unless other search engines are a feasible alternative, the answer may be approaching that you can't get much better results from Google, because that's simply the way it works.
