You Tube Videos Playlists Merging

I would like to find if I Can merge 2 playlists into one playlist in YouTube videos. Also, if there is a way to overwrite any existing items in the playlist that I am transferring videos into.

Thank you,

I am only aware of combining created music playlists through the YouTube Music mobile app — combining them via method #2 as shown in this article:  https://www.technobezz.com/how-to-merge-playlists-in-youtube-music  Also, according this support discussion article it’s not available as an option supposedly in YouTube to merge: https://support.google.com/youtubemusic/thread/10560718?hl=en
I would leave this open for a bit and see if any other Expert is aware of a way though or has a suggestion.

Thank you Jazz. I appreciate you trying to help me. It's just that over time I had created silimiar playlists and I am trying to organize things so that there are not too many similar if not duplicate items in them. But the problem is I need to merge the videos playlists on my Desktop.
Can anyone help me with my question please?
I’ll reach out to a few other Experts.
Hello.....
I have followed the question but I have no input that might help.
Thank you.
Have you tried going into one of the playlists and clicking the 3 dots and selecting "Add all to..." then selecting the playlist you want to merge with?  (I don't think  this will prevent duplicates but at least they're all in the one spot)

Hi Rob,

If I do that will I be able to delete the the folder that has the playlist that I would have transferred ? Also I tried to do that but when I check the box to where I wanted to merge the play list nothing happens! am I supposed to create a new playlist with a different name and then delete the other 2 playlists that got merged with each other?
I presume so. do you have your playlists in folders?
Yes Rob. I am referring to the You Tube Videos Playlists not the Premium Music which I subscribe to as well.
then it should be fine.. the items in the playlists are copied to the other list (so in a sense duplicated until you delete the list)
Rob,

Just one thing you did not answer. When I add to play list and check the box to where I want that playlist go to as I said before nothing happens. Am I suppose create a new platlist with a new name and then delete the other 2 playlists?

give that a go. I wonder because it's private that might be an issue?
I did that Ron and unfortunately it did not transfer after creating a new play list. Also I had deleted the playlist that I was hoping to merge before checking in the newly created playlist that it was merged.
Any other suggestions. Who can I get in touch with to get help from regarding my issues that I need help with merging playlists in Youtube?

Thank you Rob.

I been waiting almost for 3 weeks and no pausible answer was presented to my question. I will go head and close my question and I am frustrated beacuae I was hoping at least 1 expert would be able to help me with this question.

It seems YouTube’s community support channel has been unresponsive as well on this issue. I tried to see if anyone else could help there. I think they made changes at the end of last year and there are complaints about it.
1% chance I can help you but I'll look around even though the question is closed.
OK thank you.

Hi Nickg5:

I need your help clarifying somethings please.

First of all I am referring to my VIDEOS playlists!!

"If you're in the new YouTube design, go to the address bar again and add &disable_polymer=true at the end of the URL, hit Enter again."

How do I know if I am in the new you tube design?

"Once in the old YouTube design, look for the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the playlist box, right above the Add videos button."

I found three horizontal dots and I was able to add the playlist to another one then deleted the one I merged. But my question is there any way to delete or overwrite duplicates from the 2 playlists after being merged?

"GO TO LIBRARY, OPEN PLAYLIST YOU WANT TO COPY, GO TO PLAYLIST SETTINGS, CLICK ADVANCED SETTINGS, CLICK ADD ALL TO...,CLICK ON THE PLAYLIST YOU WANT TO TRANSFER. HOPE THIS HELPS ."

I did not see any advanced settingsin the playlist setting?? See screen capture.

Thank you,

Rob,

I only said solution because of the length of time that I was waiting with no luck. I was not aware of the delete question option until you said something. That's the first time I run into this situation and I saw that option in the original question post after your reply.

Thank you,

Basem: I saw the above process as a work around of the problem you have.

I don't think there is a new youtube design, it's a workaround for the issue you have.

If you have an account it seems to say to:

Go to music.youtube.com in a Browser.  (music dot youtube dot com)
Open the album you want to add to a playlist.
Go to the browser's address bar and remove music. (music dot) from the URL.
etc.

I don't use Youtube with playlists so I was unable to find anyhthing else but the above work around. Sorry I could not be more help.
You tried. Thanks anyway nickg5.
Thanks. I've asked the question elsewhere and maybe I get a reply and I let you know.
