Hello, have a user who has full access and Send as Rights for another mailbox in Office 365. When the user sends an email as the other mailbox, the sent email shows up in the users Sent items versus the other mailboxes Sent items folder. How can this be fixed? User has Office 2010

Thanks

This is default behavior and cannot be changed as far as I know.  In order for the sent items to appear in the other mailbox, the user would need to log on to that account in Outlook and send from there.  This is true if you delete an item as well - it appears in the main open mailbox Deleted Items folder, not the secondary mailbox.

Thank you for that information. If the other mailbox is converted to a shared mailbox will it have the needed behaviour?

Yes per Vasil's post you should be able to control it if the mailbox is a shared mailbox.

You can also do it from the GUI on Office365 Admin for Shared Mailboxes.
Go to Groups > Shared Mailboxes > Select User.
You will find a Sent Items part you can edit there. See screenshot.

You have to fix the setting on the shared mailbox
You can do it from the Gui as mentioned by Edmond Hawila
or you can connect to Exchange Online via powershell and run

Set-Mailbox "emailaddressofsharedMailbox" -MessageCopyForSentAsEnabled $True
