Windows 10 hard drive goes from 650 gb to 893 in less than 2 weeks.

I started getting Low Disk Space today no notice of slow downs or performance issues. I have no video on the laptop. I have McAfee Total Protection which was up to date and showing no issues quarantines etc. I have installed MS Visual Studio and a few SQL Server tools and DB's on it but not big enough to do this. Looks suspicious in the last few minutes it started giving me errors of only 130 mb left of disk space. I do not click on foreign links or suspicious emails. What can I do to. In the last hour I was able to clear about 1.3 GB now. As I went to clean up the storage. I noticed it stopped giving me the ability to clean up the files I was even deleting. Sounds like I have a bug unless you can think of anything I can do...Safe mode maybe and see if I can clean anything off? Again scans all read good on McAfee. Concerned and terrified. Please help if you can and thank you...!

Storage now reads ZERO space even after trying to clear all data temp cache etc.

I did and managed to gain back about 7 GB removing SQL Server 2016 and A product called Tableau Server. But here is the interesting thing. I just looked down at McAfee and I was wrong. My laptop is no longer listed. I have several servers and things for other database configurations and I am shocked to see my Laptop no longer listed even though it monitors all 7 of my machines phones etc. I am wondering if something got on here that started to run a program that started filling up with files or something. I have Zero videos no I do have about a gig of music......hum...? Could that be where a virus got through if I had no updated virus scans...?

I ask because literally I cleared about 250 G's of applications off the machine two weeks ago today back to near zero now gaining 7 Gb more. I will install TreeSize. That is a TreeGraph like what I use in Tableau and PowerBI.
Jazz did not see anything running at high RPM...so to speak on Task Mgr. Good call. I will update you shortly unless you have more ideas.
FYI It has been scanned in the recent past. I wonder if I got the COVID on my laptop....? LOL. Not really funny but....I was regularly scanning it daily. Not sure how in the Hexx it suddenly stopped getting scanned. Anyone heard of a virus that confiscates the space on the HD and leaves you with NONE...?

One more thing if there are viruses will McAfee pull the corruption off or is it possible I will have to hunt and peck finding a bunch of junk files on here that the virus produces when on a machine. Sorry. Don't get viruses. Probably have not had one in 15 years.

WinDirStatSQLRunningDMPFiles.png Check this out. Can anyone help me identify what is happening? Why would a SQL version I no longer have on my laptop be running what appears to be a dump file....? I did not kick anything off to waste 82% of my HD...?

Don’t forget to run Windirstat or Treesize as system does that it has access to everythi

Have a look at all the big files, but also big directories (that may have lots of small files)
Check for things like snapshots and backups
