Logical reasoning – Test #1

on
32 Views
I took lately a test of logical reasoning, made by IBM, and were 2-3 questions where I had difficulties to answer. I could not find the logic behind.
Maybe there is someone here who knows, perhaps a higher IQ, with better observation and logic.
It would be interesting for me to have explained the logic and steps in case the solution is found.
It is specified that test has a solution and has only one answer.

The logic might not be that clear, so you can use elimination for this:
B with 2 black triangles on top, never seen in sequence above
C with circle bottom mid, never seen
E, where circles and triangle on the SAME row, 3 filled, looks illegal!

That leaves A and C, with C having the triangles in never seen before spots.
A, while also not seen before in this exact combo, has them all individually seen in come cases (the triangles that is, obviously), that doesn't seem "illegal".

Basically, you're doing Sudoku, but without rules you know (as in Sudoku, you actually know all the rules and the logic behind it. But in the more advanced games, you're missing info, where you have to take a leap of faith, sometimes twice or more, to find out which ultimately leads to the correct solution).
