how to take lxd containers backup or snapshot and restore and also lxd container as template

Dear Experts
Have setup lxd container for magento ecommerce as it is a lengthy configuration and to use the application stack with demo data /without demo data hence would like to achieve the following

1. Take a backup/snapshot of the container before executing the demo data to be loaded on the application and after taking back/snapshot and then load the demo data,  demonstrate to the customer/stake holders and then roll back/restore to the original and use it for development without the demo data, this is one of use case however   even for developers on any major customization going wrong before to which taking snap and restore purpose will also be needed.

Please help me with steps on

1. How to take backup/snapshot within the same host
2. How to restore the back/snapshot within the same host

 

1. The lxd container of too much configurations and becomes ready to use for few users of same stage in this case can we create/good idea to create the final version which each of the developer wanted to work as template and make use of this as and when new developer wants the application stack, for example each developer wants SugarCRM as enterprise version installed which has lamp stack, elastic search, java and sugar build one and clone/create template and share this with IP and host name modifications , is this possible  

 
How to achieve this please provide the steps.
