Troubleshooting Question
Hi there,
after running an update on SBS 2011 the server has become unusable, can't even login as far as the desktop, just get the console.
Tried restarting explorer but no joy, it works fine in safe mode but even with everything disabled in msconfig startup & non microsoft services disabled it's still the same whe i full boot.
I've decided to restore from a backup onsite with the recovery disk.
I just want to know what drivers i will need to pop onto a usb drive to be able to see the windows installation when i go to system image restore as there are no installations visable there at the moment. I can see the backups on the USB backup drive fine.
When i try to restore i get
"Error Details: Windows did not find any diskwhich it can use for recreating volumes present in backup. Offline disks, cluster shared disks or disks explicitly excluded by user will not be used by Windows. Ensure that disks are online and no disks are excluded by mistake (0x80042414)."
The server is a Fujitsu Primeergy T100S3 running 2 500GB WD or Seaget hdds as a mirror for the OS with 2 1tb WD or Seagate drives mirrored for the data.
Is it just the SATA controller drivers i need from the Fujitsu drivers website?
All help & comments are much appreciated as always.
