Windows Server 2016 -- File Server -- see what time the FILE was opened ?

Last Modified: 2020-10-26
Currently when I do the below steps on my Windows Server 2016 I can see "who-has-what-open", but have no ideas how many MINUTES/HOURS/DAYS the file has been open.

How can do a right-click or something to see what time the FILE was opened (i.e. 5 days ago) ?

 1. Computer Management
 2. System Tools
 3. Shared Folders
 4. Open Files

There is nothing that will do that that is on by default. You need to enable auditing on the file server.

Thanks for clarifying. File auditing will tell you WHO, last access time will only tell you WHEN.
