I have an HP printer that has gone offline and I can't get it back online.

I have an HP printer that has gone offline.  I can ping it and I can reach the device via the online management portal.  I have rebooted the switch, unplugged the machine (overnight), disconnected the network connection, updated the driver.   I am at a loss as to what to try next.  Help would be appreciated.   It is an HP Color LaserJet CP4025 printer that was purchased in 2015.

If it is responding to the network, I'm not sure what you mean by offline? If it is showing as offline on the print server, have you tried just selecting "online" again? That or delete the printer off the server and add it back again.
Can you ping it by both IP and name? It may be a DNS issue. You can flushdns on the whatever server is hosting it and try again. If you can get into it remotely, like a web gui, try rebooting it.

I can ping by both ip address and name.  I can also get to it via the web also.  I have rebooted it several times and completely unplugged all connections for a period of time.

Brian,
The printer itself says it is ready.  When you attempt to print a document to it, a message is received that the printer if offline.   I have uninstalled and reinstalled using the same port, but that did not fix the issue.   Do I need to reinstall it on a totally different port?

Where would I go to select online?? I have not seen a place to do so.
I added the printer using a completely different port #.   It is now online.  Thank you for your assistance.
Glad it worked. Please don't forget to select any solutions that are applicable or were helpful.
If you found the solution and nothing the Expert did helped, you can accept your own comment. Although as you saw after my suggestion: https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29198427/I-have-an-HP-printer-that-has-gone-offline-and-I-can't-get-it-back-online.html#a43181931, deleting the printer should have included the port and that solved the problem.
