Adding another person to cohost a zoom meeting

I have a paid zoom account, I want to set up another person as a cohost. I enter their email in the meeting setup page & it rejects it. I go to my account, where it appears I can add another person to "my account". I already did this once before, I forget the details, but it will not take the email I enter. It does just nothing.
Later the person I was trying to add sends me an email, saying I am using the wrong email for her. I'm guessing that when I put another email in that place, zoom sends an email to that address & says "person xxx want's to ad you to their account, OK" or words like that. If the answer yes or whatever the positive response is, they get put in & I get an email from zoom, saying something to the effect at they were added. Is that how it works?
