Acronis snap deploy across different VLANS
Greetings,
I am using Acronis Snap Deploy 5 and would like to deploy images in our classroom by getting the image from the server.
I would boot on USB launch Acronis Standalone then type the path of the image, authenticate and select the image and deploy.
I want to use Unicast method but I wonder if this works on different VLANs. Is this possible ?
Cheers,
Richard

Yes it works, if Unicast is supported on your network.

Is there a particular settings that needs to be done on the network end? Or maybe on the Acronis server itself?
The Acronis server is a VM that runs Windows 2016 Standard
Thanks

You must ensure you've got VLANs configured correctly, and you are not configured to block Unicast!

Thanks!

One thing I find weird is even though I can connect on the server's share by the UNC from the computer that I want to deploy the image, once I boot on Acronis and I choose the stand alone option, I type the ip adresse of the server but it won't find it. On the same subnet though it works.
All ports are open between subnets, I validated the information with the Network Administrator. Is there some discovery that we need to configure in particular to have machines been able to communicate on 2 different subnet?
Cheers,

You need to look at routing and gateway, default routes - some does not look correct with your network layout.

No problem on that end. Any other suggestions ?
Speak to Acronis.
