Re-name a group of pdf documents inside the folder
Hi Experts,
I'm encounter a problem with re-name a group of pdf documents and moving them from one location to another location. I have no experience and I need so advise.
Current we have a Year folder and inside the Year folder we have Date subfolders for each day of the the whole year. Inside the date subfolder, we saved pdf documents. documents saved to the Date subfolder would be 00h1234567, 02h234567, 02h234567a (if a doc has more than 1 then we added an a after it or b if more than 2 doc. etc. This folders are currently in the network drive.
Now we want to move these pfd documents from the network drive to the SharePoint also want to change the way of how to save to the Sharepoint. The new way we want to save the pdfs documents is save each one under their case#.
For example: 00h1234567 is currently in Date folder 11-02-20 and the new folder will be C4567890 (this is the name of the case folder) -- > Order folder (this is the subfolder inside the case folder) -- > 11-02-20_00h1234567 (this is the new name of the pdf doc save to the Order subfolder).
My question is, is any way I can add all the Date in the document name in one time instead manually add the date in the doc one by one? like 00h1234567 and update to 11-02-20_00h1234567 base on that Date of the Date folder?
Thank you,
