Windows 10 20H2 Update issue - start menu colors.
Hi,

Windows 10 just installed the "Windows 10 20H2" and all the start menu color changed.

It used to look like "Before_Windows_10_20H2.png"

Now it looks like "After_Windows_10_20H2.png"

Is there any way I can change it back to how it looked like in  "Before_Windows_10_20H2.png"

Here is the version information I have now:

Edition   Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Version   20H2
Installed on   ‎1/‎10/‎2020
OS build   19042.572
Experience   Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0

Thanks,

Ward.

hello,
Check the windows settings and try to change the color since the newer is a bit darker.
Settings > Personalization > Color, and choose the default to light instead of dark

There is a new toggle to "show accent color" as well.  The new default is OFF and the start menu uses the dark or light mode. As an accent color. Turning this back on defaults back to the old behavior of the accent color (blue by default) of the active theme instead of dark/light mode.

Windows 10 is a personal computer operating system featuring the "universal application architecture" (UAP); apps can be designed to run across multiple devices with nearly identical code, including PCs, tablets, smartphones, embedded systems, Xbox One, Surface Hub and HoloLens. Windows 10 also includes a virtual desktop system, a window and desktop management feature called Task View, the Microsoft Edge web browser, support for fingerprint and face recognition login, voice-based search (Cortana), new security features for enterprise environments, and DirectX 12 and WDDM 2.0 to improve the operating system's graphics capabilities for games.
