Blue screen in windows 10
I just installed a new SSD, and new OS, and reinstalled my drivers and applications. The computer is about 2 weeks old now, but I keep on getting random blue screens.
I installed bluescreenview and pulled up the minidump files, but I'm not 100% sure which driver is causing the issue. The affending driver is iaStorB.sys, so I think it's a storage issue.
Since I used the newest drivers from Dell's website as of 2 weeks ago, not sure what else I can due unless the current driver has a bug in it, right?

Hi,
The driver is loaded for the internal CD/DVD. Disconnect the SATA cable to prevent the driver from loading and then re-test. If that solves the issues wait for an updated driver. Use an external USB drive for the time being instead or leave the internal drive disconnected if you don't use it.
Furthermore you can run WhoCrashed to automatically analyze the dmp files if you want.
Cheers

i don't like the automatic analisers - i've seen severel faults with it; but it's better than nothing

Here's my dump file.
111120-15718-01.dmp
I have a Dell Precision Tower 5810
yes, I believe I installed the IRST driver.
I am not using RAID, my C drive is just a single drive.

I'll wait for someone more experienced than me to review my dump file and perhaps one of you might figure out what is causing the crash.

I have like 4 HD's installed, 3 are SSD and 1 platter drive. Could that cause an issue?
When I have time, I had planned to go trough them all and extract the data that I want/need and put everything on my C drive, then remove those other drives.

attached is the analysis
it says : memory corruption - probably caused by iastore.sys
so you have a couple options :
bad ram - test it with memtest86+ https://www.memtest.org/
or the iastore - try uninstalling it

nobus, so I will do both. How do I find out which application is using the iastore file?
I'm guessing it's the Intel rapid store technology enterprise, as when I open that up and click on properties, the target file is "IAStorUI.exe"
Is there another application that is using that driver?

I noticed for the last 6 or 7 days, it hasn't crashed once, so it's strange, either way, I just removed that application.

Thanks everyone for your input. I have removed the intel storage driver/software and I am now waiting to see if that was the issue.
you could wait to close this Q - till you are certain it's ok..

True, but some people don't like it when questions remain open for weeks, so I just wanted to thank everyone for your input.
not at all - it's only the EE robot that urges you after 3days of inactivity to post something...no people involved

Is there no other way to test this?
