I'm working on code that uses Machine.Config to read the database connection string.

1. I don't know how it does it . It's not using this
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.configuration.configurationmanager.openmachineconfiguration?view=dotnet-plat-ext-5.0

2. This is the code

private IApiContext _dbContext;
this._dbContext = new ApiContext();

3. It calls ApiContext. That "name=API" is making it find the config setting's name and get the connection string.

If I remove "name=API" and hard code the connection string, that works as well.

 public class ApiContext : DbContext, IApiContext
    {
        public ApiContext()
            : base("name=API") //"name=API"
        {
            this.Configuration.LazyLoadingEnabled = true;
            //this.Database.Connection.ConnectionString = "data source=myDB;initial catalog=API;integrated security=False;User Id=....;Password=....MultipleActiveResultSets=True;App=EntityFramework";
            //***  for testing remove
        }
How does it work?
