I just logged into my pc and I thought I was running MS Teams once but look at the task manager!  I'm only running Teams once.  Why all the duplicate teams running?

Hi Vasil:
What is an electron-based app?
This doesn't make sense! It's using all that memory?  I'm not even in the app!

Teams is as already said, Electron based.

This means it uses basically a local HTML/JS server (node.js) and its own browser (chromium).

Thus all those processes from chromium. Thus this will be not solved, cause these processes are there by design for security and performance.

As already written, Electron is a framework mainly coupling node.js and a chromium browser in way that you can develop cross-platform applications.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron_(software_framework)

Or rephrased: Your application is basically programmed as "web application" for a certain kind of server and browser.
