map drive wont delete
Hi,
I removed an old windows server. I am unable to remove a mapdrive my windows 10 clients access to the old unavailable serer using the conventional ways of deleting a mapdrive.
any suggestions would be helpful.

I tried this yesterday 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2 ' and rebooted but it is still there. Do you have any other suggestions?

Did you check the logs that you are receiving after trying to delete the map drive?

After you deleted HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2
and rebooted the PC, can you recheck if the deleted map was recreated in the registry.

doing this 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Network -> delete the drive if you see it here -> restart the Explorer process or reboot' fixed my issue.

and select your map drive letter and delete it.
