I have 2 Windows 10 PCs. One can share files with the other but one cannot.
Win10 Pro can see shared files on Win10 Home just fine. Win10 Home cannot see any Win10 files. Keeps asking for credentials or says \\computer\share is not accessible. I've enabled guest "no password" sharing on both and both have identical sharing settings. Both are on same network and I can ping each from the other by name. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Bill

Try to disable windows firewall and test
Microsoft has a couple analyses of this problem at the link below:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-networking/file-sharing-not-working/e6df6ac5-bb5a-41b3-8253-bd59b49d94bd
And this also puts me in mind of an issue related to this that we saw recently, and which unfortunately I can't find at the moment, that there is a difference between network file sharing support on Home and on Professional.

Hi, Mohammad,
Here is what I have tried so far (several hours). No help from any.
1. Disable firewall
2. Run incoming connections troubleshooter - says "Windows requires more information to diagnose the problem" Not Fixed RED X.
3. Checked group policy
4. Checked Security, Private Network, Guest user - set to not require password for sharing
Thoughts? Thanks, Bill

Hi Wesley,
Good idea but no love. The PC that cannot see to shared folder is Win 10 Home. THe PC that has the folder I'm trying to share is Win 10 Pro. The Win 10 Pro computer sees the Win 10 Home just fine. Wonder if that could be a problem???
I've compared setting on both computers and they are the same everywhere... Crazy. This should be easy.
Thanks, Bill

On the Win 10 that you can't see shares, Right mouse on Networks and go to Properties. On the left side, goto Change Advanced Sharing settings. Expand All Networks and Change the last setting to "Turn off Password Protected Sharing"
BTW - every time that Microsoft updates Windows 10 Network security, it seems like they reset that flag to Turn on the Password Protected Sharing.

Hi All,
Well I finally got it! Here is what I had to do. All of the above permissions, etc. plus the 3 steps below. Hope it helps someone else.
1. Set up the Win 10 Home (20H2 Version) user as a user with authorized login on Win 10 Pro (1909 Version).
2. Shared folders with explicit RW rights to the Win 10 Home user
3. Added Guest and Everyone users with RW rights to the share
Seems like without the Win 10 Home user set up on the Win 10 pro machine the \\<Win 10 Pro> cannot be accessed. Once accessed the Guest permissions are allowed. Not sure the Everyone is required...
I think this is a Win 10 Ver. 20H2 issue as other versions don't act like this!
Thanks for ALL your suggestions - especially Fred and Jazz.

Awesome! I’m seeing a few other similar cases in EE after updates now so this will potentially help others.
