Conflict Resolution in iTunes Syncing with MS Outlook

I run Windows 10 and MS Office 365.  I and use iTunes to sync my Contacts and Calendar with my iPhone.  A while back I started getting a "Conflict Resolution" window at the end of every synchronization stating that there are 100+ conflicts between my phone and my Outlook - and offering to let me select which of the conflicts I wanted to use.  Since I never input contacts into my phone - and only update contacts with Outlook - I don't know how there can be conflicts, but I select the Outlook option.  I then get a "Cannot Access Conflicts" error message.  Both error messages are shown below.  I tried reinstalling iTunes, but it didn't change anything.  Please help.

Thank you, Jazz.  Your solution worked!!  I can't believe that for all my troubleshooting I never tried closing Outlook before the sync.
Yes, I previously submitted this problem.  The expert then informed me that basically there was nothing I could do about it unless I changed my system for synchronization.  Being unwilling to do that (at least not until I absolutely had to), I figured I would live with the problem.  Then a friend of mine said that he thought that "solution" was nonsense, so I figured I would try again.  Glad I did, because I met you :).
Awesome! Glad that I could help! :)
