Windows Server 2016 Getting Stuck on the "Getting Windows Ready Don't turn off your computer" message.

Windows Server 2016 Getting Stuck on "Getting Windows Ready Don't turn off your computer". I'm having the same symptoms on two 2016 servers. Not sure if problem is related to a particular patch , but they starting behaving like that applying the windows10.0-kb4565912-x64 patch.  I know a lot of people are complaining about similar issues with Windows server 2016, but I have not found anything helpful yet.

Thank you for the input EC. I took your advice and I decided to wait it out.  It finally completed, but Windows took over an hour to apply a single patch. I have around 70 Windows Server 2016 servers to patch and some of them are SQL servers as well. We don't have a good patching system like SCCM, but that's a different topic. There is a lot of manual steps that we need to take to complete our patching cycle and this pace I'm going to be growing some new grey hair :). There has to be a workaround to this nonsense, like avoiding the unnecessary checks that could be causing the delay..
