We have McAfee VSE deployed to all of our workstations, on our most recent scan we are getting the below hit on only about 5 machines. Why are we getting this at all? Doesn't McAfee effectively disable Windows Anti-Virus? I've tried to update the definitions with no luck, we are on a disconnected network so everything must be done offline. Not sure how to get rid of the finding?
Are you sure McAfee was running on the 5 machines at the moment the nessus scan was performed?
If you stop a mcafee service (ow someone did) then windows defender takes its place, this migth have been because an update, and pending restart.

Yes McAfee was running at time of scan. No pending reboots / updates were affecting this.

I just did another scan of the machines in question, not sure what happened but it appears the issue resolved itself.
