Swapping NVMe SSD from Optiplex 3080 into Optiplex 5080 Windows 10

Wondering if I swap the SSD from the OP3080 into the OP5080, will Windows 10 make the adjustments to the OS?  I would install all new drivers after the swap.  The 3080 uses the B460 chipset and the OP5080 uses the Q470 chipset.  Please comment.

It will probably boot as long as the processor brand is the same. However, is this Windows that came with the system? OEM licenses cannot be transferred.

Yes on OEM.  Both systems have valid UEFI Windows 10 Pro licenses.

You can still do it and reinstall the system.
A guess, the user does not want to go through the installing all their applications and then getting the profile data etc. ...
You could preload the 5080's drivers before you move the drive.
download the drivers. often, the network may shift, i.e. the 3080 uses intel, the new one uses broadcom or etherlink... etc.
predownload the 5080's drivers from dells support....
Excellent thought Arnold.  Downloading the drivers before hand will save me any hassle of moving them via flash drive in the event the network doesn't work.  The OP3080 is brand new (1 week old), but didn't have an SD card slot.  The Optiplex 3080 doesn't offer that option, and the end user wants no card reader attached to the computer.
Also might want to consider instead of swap and adapt, if you have any tools to backup or image the HD, swap the drives and then RESTORE the backup of the HD to the SSD.
Everything went as expected.  The network driver was downloaded ahead of time, and needed to be installed.  The Office activation had to be reactivated as expected.  Everything else went smooth.

Thanks to everyone for reassuring this would work.

Glad to hear it. Thanks for the update.
