How-to setup IDRAC
Hello -
I have some PowerEdge Servers that do not have IDRAC setup. Or at least I do not see any cables connected to port located at back of server. If I connect, will that interrupt the server since it is in production? What are the steps to ensure the IDRAC is setup and isn't interrupting production? How can I find out if it even has a card on some servers I noticed it isn't labeled IDRAC.
Thank you!

It will not interrupt. Simply point to the iDRAC IP to manager it. That's all.

Once I connect the ethernet cable, how would I manage the IP of the IDRAC?
If it is set to DHCP Client, check the DHCP SERVER to discover which IP was assigned.
Default IP is 192.168.0.120 as per https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/000177212/dell-poweredge-come-configurare-idrac9-e-l-ip-di-rete-di-lifecycle-controller
Sorry... that seems italian. Give me a second...

I'll check right now. Thanks!
