How do I enable SSL for Weblogic Server Admin Console 12c?
I'm having issues trying to set access to my weblogic admin console to https://myhost:7002/console. The non-SSL works fine at http://myhost:7001/console. I have 2 managed servers, adminServer and myApp. I configured myApp via the admin console for SSL at port 443 with no problem. I used the same configuration and keystore for the adminServer except for the port. The adminServer logs show the following:
<BEA-000297> <Inconsistent security configuration, weblogic.management.configuration.ConfigurationException: Invalid server AdminServer SSL configuration>
<BEA-090034> <Not listening for SSL, weblogic.management.configuration.ConfigurationException: Invalid server AdminServer SSL configuration.>
<BEA-002618> <An invalid attempt was made to configure a channel for unconfigured protocol "Invalid server AdminServer SSL configuration".>
Any thoughts would be appreciated. ThanksASKER
thanks, yes I'm using a fully quaIified name. I have my own certificate authority for our test network. Works fine for the application on myApp managered server but not for the adminServer.

you need 2 things
1) a fully qualified name &
2) a certificate.
Unless you have your own certificate authority
