The model number is listed. You have two different models of 48 port 2960S switches. I would need to look up the specific models to see what the differences are.

sorry man, but I'm asking why do I have all these switches coming up when running that cmd?
are these all switches in a stack? and is the astrix indicate the switch I'm logged into?
Yes, they are in a stack. When they are stacked, there is only 1 switch as far as configuration goes. I believe the * shows which chassis is acting as the master.
If I want to make changes, do I need to log into master? What is the cmd to get stack information?
If you connect via ssh, you will always connect to the current master. You don't have 4 switches, you have 1 logical switch that has 4 physical components, but there is only 1 configuration. Just configure it like a normal switch. The only difference is in the syntax for designating a port. Do "show run" and you will see the entire configuration.
Nice! Thank you! If I configure a VLAN will it automatically update all other switches in stack? Is there a cmd that I can use to see my stack information for each switch I SSH into?
